Inversions Of The Colossus

hey hey hey folks, so i got a few questions on twitter today along the lines of "what's this INVERSIONS record all about?", so let me give you the official briefing on the NEXT release on rj's electrical connections:

in the past, i have done everything i can to release instrumental versions of records i've made that have vocals on them. both Soul Position records, Magnificent City, The Third Hand, In Rare Form-the list goes on-are all records that were intended to be non-vocal versions...

5:05am in the CMH airport

ok, this is WHOLLY UNNECESSARY, as far as blog postings go, but you know what? i've got time to kill in the Columbus airport, and thus, i bring you, the 05/02/2010 5:05am sleep deprived ramblings of a touring dj/musician/coffee nerd/???......

so i had 2 gigs the last 2 days, and yesterday's happened to be in Gambier, OH at Kenyon College(where i had played before a few years back). Gambier is a tiny little town northeast of Columbus, so i fly there and get my rental car to drive an hour...

hey fizzolks, hope you all are enjoying your well-worn in copies of "The Colossus" by now. mp3's especially sound better once they get broken in. so 1st off-a massive thanks to everybody who came out to any of the shows so far. the 3rd leg, which we just completed 2 days ago was huuuuuuge. man. too many great shows to even count. crazy fun. in columbus, i got to do a special one-night-only jawn with adam deitch which went off like chinese new year. west coast, here we come!
